Normal?

Yesterday I took a bus ride. I noticed this black lady with a baby carriage. She was looking at her screen and her toddler was stairing her own mobile. If one wants to preoccupy his/hers baby the mobile is the easy way out on the short run. But I bet in the long run that can´t be good for babies. Just pondering how will they turn out eventually. Well it remands to be seen I guess. Weekend Street/Reflections

  1. I guess it is not a good habit anyway...

No bueno.

  4. They start at such an early age. I hope the parent will have some guidelines but I wouldn't bet on it. The mobile is the new babysitter for today's parents.

    1. No shit? Telly used to be babysitter, nowadays it´s this. I think it´s worst because you can´t escape this, it´s every where.

  5. I see that all the time here, I think its sad, I use to give my children books to look at when they were babies, so much more educational for them, everyone is into technology these days.

    1. Sad yes. I just read an news paper article that those who stare the screen plenty (as a child) have limited vocabulary compared to one´s who do it just a little. And I´ll bet there´s other unwanted consequences as well.
