Winter Wonderland all over again

Snow was all but gone earlier this week. Couple nights of snowing and there´s a good half a meter of it. Today sun shined for first time in weeks. I did enjoy some outdoors for a change. Fantastic weather for Winter. All though I´m not a outdoors people in Winter.

Piles of Snow

It snowed for two days. Now piles of Snow are everywhere. Soon will run out of space to pile it. Plan B; remove it with tractor shovel and some trucks. We do that every year, we have a Snow dump outside of the City. Come Spring there´s one huge pile of Snow. Then it´ll be covered by sawdust. It´ll last ´til next Autumn and can be used to make skitrack for those early birds who want´s to ski even though there´s no Snow just yet.

Bona Fide Military Watch

Today I´m wearing my Swiss Made Hamilton Watch. It´s automatic and antimagnetic. And Water Proof down to 100m. Nice Neo-Vintage Design from 1930´s & 1940´s Pilot Watch and Field Watch combined kinda thingy. I really like that coin-edged bezel and that gorgeous Onion shaped crown. Very ergonomic the later is. Very tool like, no nonsence. Just your date and time. No bells nor whisles.

I went to my local grocery at the break of dawn. It had snowed during the night, 15cm of snow to paddle in. And more was coming. Hard to see in da pic but it´s there. Barely visible in the street lights. Grocery is only 200m away from my home but I was like a freaking snowman by the time I got home. That wet snow really sticks to your clothes like a super glue. Liipola ❤ Pelicans

Liipola is name of my Hood and Pelicans are a pro hockey team in my beloved hometown of Lahti, Finland.Mid January and it´s been raining (water) for days. In the mean while temps have been above freezing point. No more Winter Wonderland, snow is all but gone. People had umbrellas ffs. It´s almost unseen situ. Don´t say that this never happened but it´s pretty unusual. My Corner of the World

The Heat Is On

I had a early appointment to a lab. They took 4 tubes of blood. And they took electrocardiogram also. As I was coming back to home at 8:30AM I took this photo. It was snowing and below freezing point. The street is warmed up like a floor heating I suppose. The white part represents our Marketplace i.e. Epicenter of my beloved hometown Lahti, Finland.

Brr..!

This winter my indoor temperature has decreased by 3 degree C. From 21 to 18. Doesn´t sound much but you can surely feel that. Wool-socks and -shirts has come to use this winter. That smoke is coming from the heating center of my Hood. It provides all the hot water in our radiators and showers and such. Energy is scarce due the Russian´s WAR in Ukraine. We´ll manage but Ukrainians are in real dire. Fucking Putan!!! 💙💛

Free Shit

 Every month´s first Wednesday there´s Fair in Market Place of Lahti, Finland. Tons of people. SDP´s (Social Democratic Party) stand had many visitors. They´re serving free coffee and snacks to go with it. Funny thing in Finland; if somebody gives free anything there´s a crowd. And a line around the block. Free plastic buckets are a real crouwd pleaser. I shit you not. Why take free anything if you don´t need it in the first place. People are strange. Another funny thing; note the amount of black clothing. National Outfit of Finland in Winter.

Happy New Year

Sun is shining low on a horizon. It´s just below freezing point. Yesterday slushy snow was every where now everything is covered with ice. Very slippery, my spiked shoes was very much in need. Almost slipped and fell. Twice.

Yesterday evening I shot fireworks with my friend. Still got all digits and eyesight. Great! Past year was somewhat good for me. Had no major problems. Well I had a hypomania episode of few weeks. Gladly I didn´t need to go to hospital for it. I just roughed it out with slight change of my meds. Have no great  expectations for this coming year. Come what may, I´ll take it as it is.
