Old Folks Wisdom

 Can anyone tell me what this is?

Anyone? No? Ok I´ll tell you. It´s an old school air pressure meter. When it rains (i.e. when it´s low air pressure) the twig points downwards. Come sunshine and what? Low and behold, it´s pointing upwards (i.e. it´s high air pressure).

 How about that? Old folks have more wisdom that we think. Don´t you think?

Möxällä tuli kuunneltua Radio Yle Kainuuta. Se on jotenkin kivan kotikutoinen. Paljon pehmeämpi meininki kaikin puolin. Paljon leppoista hyvän mielen musiikkia ja paikallisia juttuja. Kotona voin kuunnella samaa ja hifistellä kuvia. Saa uudelleen elää saman kokemuksen. Tosin huomattavasti laimeempana.

Shell Kuhmo, Finland. Gasoline prizes from top down; 95E, 98E & Diesel. That´s €/litre mind you. To me that seems kinda expencive. Am so glad I don´t have a car. Dull overcast and lil rain. Maybe 20 degree C. That´s Finnish Summer for you.

A Painbrush, a Scythe & a Bear

These chainsaw sculptured animals are back in fame. My cousin used to do them back in a day. He once offered me one but taking one back with a train is a mission impossible. He is also a very good painter, love his work. A painting would travel well in train. Pity I didn´t buy one of his work. Well, maybe next time. Terpat J-P:lle!!

Yesterday I walked pass the Market Place. I saw these handcrafted Cats & Dogs. Now looking closer I find myself wanting one. It would make nice mascot for my camerabag. Only 5€, that´s a bargain. Hell, I might even buy myself a pair of those. Meow & Bark!!

City Slicker in Hilly Billy Land

 I recently came back from my holiday. It was at Kainuu, I visited Kajaani, Kuhmo and Sotkamo. Most of the time I spended in deep backforrests but did go to smaller Cities mentioned for my grocaries and other needs. Countryside is very different from City. Everything is moving so slowly it looks like slow motion. At times it seems like people are going backwards things are so slow. 

There are plenty of old folks there. Many younger wants to get away from Countryside and do so. So eldery people are overrepresentationed. For some odd reason they let them run among other. In City we lock them up and call it a Eldery Care. 😁

No retired person was harmed during writting and photographing this. People in the picture are random and don´t have nothing to do with this blog post. Something else slow. My Mobile has other foot still back there. And I´ve been home for almost 3 days now. Looks like weather there is better there than here. Here is hot and moist like a bad Sauna.

Honey Bunny

Mountain Hare (lepus timidus). This lil visitor ate every evening in the yard. It didn´t mind me at all. No human never did any harm to it so it didn´t fear people. I watched it every night. Like your own national geography if you will. Nice. It was well fed. Hope it don´t get shot during hunting season.😐
