June 21st

i.e. Summer Solstice is a longest day in Northern Hemisphere. In my neck of woods that equals 19h 17min. From 3:40AM to 10.57PM that is. In Northern part of Finland sun doesn´t go below horizon at all. How about that? It´s called Midnight Sun, more info of that in link.

Ice Cream Anyone?

The Weekend in Black n´ White

You said I've always been a dreamer
`Cos dreaming is all I've ever done
Just like our summer, I thought it would last forever
But as the autumn came, you had gone away

All the promises you broke meant more to me than gold
Now I`m all all one in the heartbreak zone
And the winter will be cold without you

Now you`re just a memory, don`t mean nothing more to me
A photo among others of my old friends and my lovers
And the winter is gone, a new summer`s coming on

Backpacker?

Well not exatly. This fella worked in same recycling center I was working last summer. Don´t know him personaly, we worked in different departments. He didn´t greet me then either. But I remember his face. Lahti is very small place, only 120 000 inhabitants so no wonder you see so many people you some what know.

Normal?

Yesterday I took a bus ride. I noticed this black lady with a baby carriage. She was looking at her screen and her toddler was stairing her own mobile. If one wants to preoccupy his/hers baby the mobile is the easy way out on the short run. But I bet in the long run that can´t be good for babies. Just pondering how will they turn out eventually. Well it remands to be seen I guess. Weekend Street/Reflections

Flowa Powa ☮

Check out the dress on that lady nearest to camera. I would love to have a shirt like that. Or pants. Fantastic design, piece signs and flowers go hand in hand in my books. She kinda camouflaged herself to surrounding scene. I´m pretty sure one of my regular readers likes this too. In case you´re wondering; Yes it´s you, you old hippie. 😉

Queue

Today @07:00 Fimlab Lahti, Finland. I had to go to lab to take some blood samples. I was there before the place was even open. I thought that there´s nobody at this ungodly hours at monday morning. But as happened there was all ready a queue.

Gladly there was only dozen - or so - people before me. So I was outta there mere 30min. later. I´ve had so many blood samples taken in last couple of months that soon I´ll need a bloody blood transfusion to replace it all. I feel like I´ve been vampirized.

Ajasta ikuisuuteen

KesĂ€kuu 1989, Sotkamo. Aurinko paistaa, alla vuokra Pösö. Ajoin Sotkamosta pohjoispuolen tietĂ€ kohti faijan hasiendaa. MĂ€kiĂ€ ja mutkia, hieno latu. TĂ€mĂ€ biisi soi automankassa volat kaakossa. Jotenkin tĂ€stĂ€ innostuneena painoin hanaa oikein huolella. Vauhtia oli sellaset 120km/h kaheksankympin alueella. Tie on tyhjĂ€ ollaan syvĂ€llĂ€ Kainuun korvessa, keskellĂ€ ei mitÀÀn. ErÀÀllĂ€ mĂ€en nyppylĂ€llĂ€ auton renkaat irtosivat tiestĂ€ kuin JyvĂ€skylĂ€n Suurajoissa. Vittu!

TÀllÀ viikolla Saturday Classic valinta; Whitesnake - Bad Boys. Jotkut ehkÀ nuorempana katekorisoi mut pahaxi pojaxi. Jos sul on pari-viis tatskaa ja tykkÀÀt pÀihteistÀ ja pesÀstÀ niin mitÀ pahaa siinÀ on. Ikuinen mysteeri miule. Eit kait tÀs, palaillaan.

I know you, you know me
I'm the black sheep of the family,
I'm in an' out of trouble
I'm the talk of the town
I get wild in the street
When the sun goes down
I steal around, like a thief in the night
Dancing 'til the break of day

Bad boys,
Running undercover of moonlight
Bad, bad boys,
Getting wild in the street,
Wild in the city
