Sleeping my day away
Last night I slept 7h. (way too little). I drank two cups of coffee and then I ate my morning porridge. I was so tired that I slept some more (2h). When I woke up I drank cup of Coffee and ate little. Then I went to local grocery. Then I slept some more (2h.). After that I drank another cup of Coffee and ate something. Then slept some more (3h.). Drank more coffee and decited to go have my evening cup of Coffee at nearby Duck Pond. How´s that for a sleeping and Coffee Susu? Enough for one night and a day? 😉 D.A.D. - Sleeping my day away
Photos of some evening activities of little creatures and bit bigger creatures as well. Tonite I´m gonna burn some midnight oil, can´t see myself sleeping anytime soon. Yesterday I walked some 8,756km (5,44ml) that must be the reason I was so tired today. It´s marathon in my books, I´m in piss poor conditioned mind you. Today I walked some 1.5km (around mile) and bicycled 5,54km. (3.44ml.). That´s enough for me today.

The Devil´s Nest @ Hollola, Finland
Yesterday I went to visit a relative in Hollola. We went to this place called The Devil´s Nest. There are nice little trails that are several tens of kilometers long combined. We took the one which lead in the place mantioned. It´s market as visible in da f1rst pic.

Place itself looked like da. I only had my long lens (70-200mm) so I couldn´t take proper pic of it. Next time I have to remembed to take my wide angle zoom (16-35mm) with me to take better pic of it. It´s in the middle of woods and I couldn´t back up any more. This photo doesn´t do justice to it. Quit the opposit actually. And Fuck Me. I forgot that I have a 27mm (in full frame terms) wide angle camera in my mobile. Damn Bastard, how stupid can one be.
We did grill some meaty sausages in open fire. That and weathers like this goes hand in hand.
As a dessert we had coffee. Coffee never tastes as good indoors as it does outdoors.
Dunno why that is but it´s a scientific fact not an opinion. ☕👍

@ Super Market
Going in there was couple of dudes hanging in there. Are they resting after shopping or bracing themselfs to shop. Hard to say. Inter Sport is global player, the Inter is probably short for International. Other wise it´s bit grim, Inter that is. City Market is big Finnish player, if not the biggest.
It´s always nice to see an immigrant working in Finland. Due to racism next to nobody hires them. You can´t choose workers by nationality but it´s easy to bypass. Most working places demand it´s workers to be fluent in Finnish, most of immigrants aren´t all that fluent with it. Many don´t speak a word of Finnish. It´s a loophole in legislation for sure. And it´s a pity.
Very many workers in shops are students making ends meat. Pay is low and work is hard so not too popular place of employment. Turnover rate in these places is very high. Most don´t make enoughf money to pay their bills, many gets some sort of social security from coverment due the poor pay.
Almost there, looks like I survived the Super Market. Barely but still. I´m outta here.
Demolition Derby
There´s nothing broken nearby so maybe he(/she) was running from an accident scene. Evidently police got him(/her), that blue and white stripe over the windscreen is police tape. Hope the car ain´t stolen, hope he(/she) did damage his(/hers) own car. The driver was probably drunken or stoned. Or both.
It happens almost every day in my neck of woods. Unfortunetly. Scary shit if you think of it. Everybody is prone to get run over by these fuckers. And the penalties are very petty. If you kill somebody with a car in Finland you get fined or probation at the most. It´s very rare that you´ll have to do hard time.

Holy Trinity
As I was walking throught the Citys Market Place I noted this young lady drinking coffee, smoking a zig and fiddling her mobile. I do the first two myself but mobile is firmly in my pocket/camerabag most of the time. This time I didn´t have my Camera with me so I relied on my mobile. The best Camera is the one you have with you as they say. Snap, gotcha!
Holy Lab
This morning I went to lab to take some blood examination. I had time reserved to me couple weeks ago. I waited almost an hour, it was very late. There was a real rush hour. Finland used to have very good public healthcare but nowadays it´s all shit. I blame politicians, those fuckers. It´s all about money, money money these days. How they´re gonna run it without money I ask you. This was taken at 08:40 hours (8:40AM), with that kinda traffic I don´t know how it´s gonna look like say noon. Sorry about the slight blur, I wasn´t on my game. But Street Photography is all about the Moment, not the shapness of da pic.

Evening Cup of Coffee
Evening light is bouncing every which way in my kitchen. I drink lots of coffee everyday. At evening I drink coffee around 19:00 hours (7p.m.) that it wouldn´t effect my sleep. I don´t use - nor own - a coffeemaker I do it the old school way as pictured. I do filter it with filter paper though because it removes excessive cholesterol from it. My Marimekko Jaguar Kids mug is my fav, I use it solely.
Not long ago I weeded out my kitchen ware. I saved 4 cutting knifes and few shovels and such. Then I left me two of everything; two plates both shallow and deep, two forks, two eating knifes, two spoons etc. This way I never have to do excessive dishes. Two of all is all I need in case some friend comes to eat with me. Or drink coffee. It´s very rare that there´s more than one friend visiting me at any given time. I did recycle them kitchen ware mind you, I didn´t just toss them in the bin.
While back I also weeded out my warddrope, one 200 litre (52.8 gallon) trash bag full of stuff I haven´t use in years went to recycling. Now I counted that I have some 40 t-shirts so there´s still too much stuff in my warddrope. Mind you I´ve bought them mostly from fleamarkets and I do wear them out before I toss them. So no fast-fashion in my cabin per se.

Both are sure signs of Spring.

Famous Landmark
Lahti has organized 7 skiing World Champion competitions over the years. Those who follows Nordic Skiing i.e. cross-country skiing, ski jumping, and Nordic combined will recognize these Ski Jumping Hills. Lahti Ski Games have been held here from 1923, few years was skipped but it´s 100 years old tradition. Nowadays the Games are part of World Cup. When there ain´t World Championship that is. These can be used in Summer also.
Flat anyone?
These apartment buildings are in one of the best places in Lahti, Finland. I visited one flat while working in eldery care in winter 2021. The flat was huge and it was on 5th floor so the views was gorgeous. Lady of place invited me to take a look see from balcony, which was facing south and west. So plenty of sunshine and magnificent sunsets too. It must´ve been the most expencive home I never visited. Or will visit. If money isn´t an issue, would you like to live here? Yeah, me too (no pun intented).
Cherry Blossom Park
In Lahti there are some 55 Cherry Blossom trees. Of which 25 was donated by Hokkaido-Finland Society. The Park is only few years old but this was f1rst time I visited there at the time when they are bloming. Doesn´t look all that much bacause the trees are quite young. But as they´ll grow they´re gonna look much better I presume.

Whuuut?
All those people and no mobile in sight. Almost mission impossible these days. The immigrant on right noticed my camera and looks very interested of it. The other one I was facing didn´t notice me at all. I´m wondering why he has only one glove. Well maybe he lost the other one who knows.

Chicago Bulls
Lahti is called Chicago of Finland. Most think it´s due to violance which was plenty in here as it was back in the day in Chicago. But no, it´s due to Meat District which was lively in both cities. I actually worked the last butchery in Lahti way back late -90´s and early 2000´s.
I didn´t do the actual killing or such, I was there cleaning the place up after the fact. I documented the killing while I was in the middle of my photography studies working there as a summerjob. The pics ended up in the walls of Art Museum Veturitalli, Salo Finland. They have presented many world famous photographer there. Like Steve McCurry. I was there before he was. 😲 That was my 15min. of fame. How about that, not too bad for a Bipolar Lunatic like me, eh? 😉
Look at the legs on that girl, they looked like she has anorexia. Contrast to that puffy backpack and padded jacket makes them look even thinner. How can anyone even walk with feets so thin?

@ Harbour
Today I took my bicycle for a little spin. Did some 13,72km (8.52miles) and took 2601 steps also. This early at spring my condition ain´t the best so that´s about the amount I can hack at the moment. I went to Harbour of Lahti, Finland, it´s called the summer livingroom localy. Peoples was plenty and it was no wonder since it was warmest day this far this year.
The breakwater is full of Gulls of some sort. It´s about 300m (984ft) long and it´s covered by them creatures. There´s at least 800 pairs of them. And they make helluva noise, it´s some 100m (328ft) away from shore so it´s very loud. The big boats didn´t move but there was loats of smaller boats about.
I ate ice cream, took some photos and moved on. I really enjoyed myself but I´d rather have someone´s company but it wasn´t possible today. Well maybe tomorrow, weather should be as good as it was today. Signing out for today, we´ll see tomorrow. Tah Dah!
End of the line
A cashier is faster than these two old fellows. They´re having a hard time to collect their groceries before the next customers groceries. A hassle for sure. This is one of the reasons why I prefer smaller shops. Way more relaxed atmosphere in those.

Local Pizzeria & Kebab
The owner of the place is an Irak Kurd. I´ve being ordering very many pizzas/kebans over the years. When I order I introduce myself by my surname. He never asks my address because he knows where I live, he´s been here so many times. Here he´s fixing something in his Hybrid Lexus. I´ve played at least the rims and tyres of it I reckon. I lived this place for 18 years now so that´s not even exaggerating a bit. The Weekend in Black n´ White
Life will Prevail
Today I played fribee golf f1rst time this year. I walked some 10 678 steps, new record in my phones history. I had this phone more than 5 years now, so I ain´t much of a walker normaly.
Weather was freaking fantastic, shadow temp was 23C (73,4F) at 16:00 hours (4PM). It´s a good summerday temp in Finland, all thou it´s spring yet still. When the green leafs are fully grown then it´s a summer in my mind. I also took my new Ukrainian made sandals for my trip to local grocery. 💙💛
