Srinkflation

What? Wikipedia page of it can be found here. Todays paper has this story about the subject matter. It´s in Finnish so I won´t link it here. As it happens I photographed these  canned tunas while back.

Basicly it´s about how to srcew people when they´re shopping. Product itself has srinken but the prize doesn´t drop as much in comparison i.e. it´s actually more expensive. This pisses me off, big time. But what can one do? Go to another shop? They do it too so.. It should be illegal but for some odd reason it´s not. Fucking market economy. Rich people exploits poor people. It´s so unfair. Any thoughts on this?

Autumnal Equinox

 Today day and night is equally long globaly. My Southern Hemisphere blog friends are going towards  Summer starting tomorrow. Us Northern folks the darkness is coming. Night will prevail so to speak. Day is turning into a night, last light of the day. Good Night to all my viewers!!!

A Messenger from Heaven

I was making Coffee when I heard bird singing close to me. I took a look-see to my balcony and there it was sitting on balcony-rail. I grabbed my Camera and too a Photo. And then it was gone. Just wondering what it sang to me. Hope it wasn´t anything important, didn´t get half of it. 🙂 But it was special occasion, never seen a bird on my balcony. And I´ve been living here since 2005.

Evening Cup of Coffee

 Evening light is bouncing every which way in my kitchen. I drink lots of coffee everyday. At evening I drink coffee around 19:00 hours (7p.m.) that it wouldn´t effect my sleep. I don´t use - nor own - a coffeemaker I do it the old school way as pictured. I do filter it with filter paper though because it removes excessive cholesterol from it. My Marimekko Jaguar Kids mug is my fav, I use it solely.

Not long ago I weeded out my kitchen ware. I saved 4 cutting knifes and few shovels and such. Then I left me two of everything; two plates both shallow and deep, two forks, two eating knifes, two spoons etc. This way I never have to do excessive dishes. Two of all is all I need in case some friend comes to eat with me. Or drink coffee. It´s very rare that there´s more than one friend visiting me at any given time. I did recycle them kitchen ware mind you, I didn´t just toss them in the bin.

While back I also weeded  out my warddrope, one 200 litre (52.8 gallon) trash bag full of stuff I haven´t use in years went to recycling. Now I counted that I have some 40 t-shirts so there´s still too much stuff in my warddrope. Mind you I´ve bought them mostly from fleamarkets and I do wear them out before I toss them. So no fast-fashion in my cabin per se. 

Finnish Meatballs

 Are way better than those Swedish meatballs sold at Ikea. I never tasted them but I know there´s only one thing better in Sweden than in Finland. They have better eastern neighboring country than we do. 😁

Pari viikkoa sitten yx mamma veti huokeet herneet biisivalinnastani. Katsoi asiakseen haukkua mut idiootiksi, valehtelijaksi ja juopoksi siitä syystä. Käy vilkasemassa sananvaihto, melko mielenkiintoinen oli se. Löytyypi täältä.

Ravistellaan taas vähän puuta ja katsotaan mitä sieltä tällä kertaa tippuu. 😁 Vai tippuuko mitään. Vakkarilukijat osaavat - onneksi - suodattaa sanomiseni vähän paremmin. Eli jättävät kommentoimasta pahimpia ylilyöntejä. Suurin osa jutuistani on kuitenkin aika kesyjä. Ja suht koht tolkkuja.

My Vice

Men live around 79 years old in Finland these days. Smoking shortens your life by 7 years recording to today´s knowledge. So I have some 13 years left. If I don´t die something else before it that is. It´s a nasty habit and I should quit while I´m ahead. But I have so much in my plate at the moment that this is not on top of my bucket list. Maybe someday, reminds to be seen.

Most people don´t wanna think about randomness of life. You can be 30 years old with healthy lifestyle and die in a heart attack - or what ever - during your exercise. And that´s it, you´re done. Life ain´t fair.

Then there´s people like me. I´ve been living very, very unhealthy atleast for last 20 years. And still going on strong. I should be dead long ago. 3 times I´ve being looking death in the eye (de facto). Luckily I survived all of those. But I can be dead by tomorrow. Or later today. Or...well, you got the point.

Say you´re walking to a street corner. If you turn left you can find love of your life. By turning to right you can be hit by a car and you´re dead. Yesterday never returns and tomorrow never comes. You only have Now. Bit cliché but so true. Nobody promised you tomorrow. As they say; God laughs when people make plans.  Remember to enjoy every day of your life like it´s your last. I´ve learnt it the hard way. Nowadays I thank the Universe every day I wake up living.

Every Day Carry Spring 2023 Edition

 As follows; a camerabag, camera, wrist watch, a folding knife, keys to my home and to my bicycle, some cash, packet of hankies, a Zippo and water botlle. Missing from the picture; pack of Camels and my smartphone with which I took this picture.

Camerabag is 22 years old and still in good working order. My camera and the lens is ruffly 15 years old and it still working just fine. A folding knife is a classic; Opinel no.8 from France. Cutting tool is always needed, especially when in Nature. Wristwatches I have 9, this being a  quartz Swiss Made GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) watch. Cash is for those occasions when your bankcard isn´t working for some reason or other. Zippo has my real life nickname (Pisi Prkl) engravet in it. Hankies, keys and water bottle don´t need explanation.

Bit of an Overkill?

I upgraded my guitar amp. The old one was pretty shitty to put it nice. Couple of effect petals didn´t help a bit. Now I got myself a proper amp. Marshall 30W in a livingroom. Nobody Needs that much but it´s Nice to have if you know what I mean. If I would dare to put it on max my hair would probably flow like in wind. Not to mantion my neighbours, that´s why I have them headphones. This is literally My Corner of the Wolrd.

Sounds on that amp are magnificent but I can only play 8 chords thus far. I found this at the recycling center I used to work as a photographer in their webstore last year. It was mere 80€ and it looks near mint and everything is working too. I concider myself lucky to get hold of this beautiful beast for so little money. Terpat Marikalle , Katjalle ja Marjutille! Today at 21:23. Yesterday these were the otherway around. Planet has moved quite a bit.

It looks like it´s nearing the Sun so it won´t be visible much longer.
