And my brand new rubber boot. Didn´t paint those myself, there´s some digging going on there. So this is their markings. They´re my real life initials too not just my net-nick. My real nick name is Pisi, been called that since -83. All my old friend and 100+ drinking buddies calls me that. And so does my brother and mother. Prkl I added later, it´s short version of word Perkele. Which basicly means the devil. But it´s very usable word bit like the f-word. Suits fine with my bit roughf image.
I´m going on a vacation, am going to Sotkamo. My father has House and Summer Cabin there. Cabin is situated by the small lake and that´s where I´m gonna stay. Nearest neighbour is 1km away (as crow flies). In between there´s a thick forrest. So I´ll be pretty much alone in the Nature for next 2 weeks. From 24.7 to 5.8.2023 I´ll be offline but I shall return. The Cabin looks like so.

I was making Coffee when I heard bird singing close to me. I took a look-see to my balcony and there it was sitting on balcony-rail. I grabbed my Camera and too a Photo. And then it was gone. Just wondering what it sang to me. Hope it wasn´t anything important, didn´t get half of it. 🙂 But it was special occasion, never seen a bird on my balcony. And I´ve been living here since 2005.
Well not exatly. This fella worked in same recycling center I was working last summer. Don´t know him personaly, we worked in different departments. He didn´t greet me then either. But I remember his face. Lahti is very small place, only 120 000 inhabitants so no wonder you see so many people you some what know.
Today @07:00 Fimlab Lahti, Finland. I had to go to lab to take some blood samples. I was there before the place was even open. I thought that there´s nobody at this ungodly hours at monday morning. But as happened there was all ready a queue.

Eräällä mäen nyppylällä auton renkaat irtosivat tiestä kuin Jyväskylän Suurajoissa. Vittu! Yritin pitää ratin suorassa että kosla pysyis tiellä. Kun maa taas kutsui niin kytkin pohjaan ja jarrua. Tien sivussa kädet täristen vedin hermosavut. Ziisus Kraist, oli pikkuusen liian lähellä.
Tällä viikolla Saturday Classic valinta; Whitesnake - Bad Boys. Jotkut ehkä nuorempana katekorisoi mut pahaxi pojaxi. Jos sul on pari-viis tatskaa ja tykkäät päihteistä ja pesästä niin mitä pahaa siinä on. Ikuinen mysteeri miule. Eit kait täs, palaillaan.

Last night I slept 7h. (way too little). I drank two cups of coffee and then I ate my morning porridge. I was so tired that I slept some more (2h). When I woke up I drank cup of Coffee and ate little. Then I went to local grocery. Then I slept some more (2h.). After that I drank another cup of Coffee and ate something. Then slept some more (3h.). Drank more coffee and decited to go have my evening cup of Coffee at nearby Duck Pond. How´s that for a sleeping and Coffee Susu? Photos of some evening activities of little creatures and bit bigger creatures as well. Tonite I´m gonna burn some midnight oil, can´t see myself sleeping anytime soon. Yesterday I walked some 8,756km (5,44ml) that must be the reason I was so tired today. It´s marathon in my books, I´m in piss poor conditioned mind you. Today I walked some 1.5km (around mile) and bicycled 5,54km. (3.44ml.). That´s enough for me today.

Yesterday I went to visit a relative in Hollola. We went to this place called The Devil´s Nest. There are nice little trails that are several tens of kilometers long combined. We took the one which lead in the place mantioned. It´s market as visible in da f1rst pic.

Place itself looked like da. I only had my long lens (70-200mm) so I couldn´t take proper pic of it. Next time I have to remembed to take my wide angle zoom (16-35mm) with me to take better pic of it. It´s in the middle of woods and I couldn´t back up any more. This photo doesn´t do justice to it. Quit the opposit actually. And Fuck Me. I forgot that I have a 27mm (in full frame terms) wide angle camera in my mobile. Damn Bastard, how stupid can one be.
We did grill some meaty sausages in open fire. That and weathers like this goes hand in hand.
This morning I went to lab to take some blood examination. I had time reserved to me couple weeks ago. I waited almost an hour, it was very late. There was a real rush hour. Finland used to have very good public healthcare but nowadays it´s all shit. I blame politicians, those fuckers. It´s all about money, money money these days. How they´re gonna run it without money I ask you. This was taken at 08:40 hours (8:40AM), with that kinda traffic I don´t know how it´s gonna look like say noon. Sorry about the slight blur, I wasn´t on my game. But Street Photography is all about the Moment, not the shapness of da pic.
Evening light is bouncing every which way in my kitchen. I drink lots of coffee everyday. At evening I drink coffee around 19:00 hours (7p.m.) that it wouldn´t effect my sleep. I don´t use - nor own - a coffeemaker I do it the old school way as pictured. I do filter it with filter paper though because it removes excessive cholesterol from it. My Marimekko Jaguar Kids mug is my fav, I use it solely.
Lahti is called Chicago of Finland. Most think it´s due to violance which was plenty in here as it was back in the day in Chicago. But no, it´s due to Meat District which was lively in both cities. I actually worked the last butchery in Lahti way back late -90´s and early 2000´s.
I didn´t do the actual killing or such, I was there cleaning the place up after the fact. I documented the killing while I was in the middle of my photography studies working there as a summerjob. The pics ended up in the walls of Art Museum Veturitalli, Salo Finland. They have presented many world famous photographer there. Like Steve McCurry. I was there before he was. 😲 That was my 15min. of fame. How about that, not too bad for a Bipolar Lunatic like me, eh? 😉
Look at the legs on that girl, they looked like she has anorexia. Contrast to that puffy backpack and padded jacket makes them look even thinner. How can anyone even walk with feets so thin?
Today I played fribee golf f1rst time this year. I walked some 10 678 steps, new record in my phones history. I had this phone more than 5 years now, so I ain´t much of a walker normaly.
Weather was freaking fantastic, shadow temp was 23C (73,4F) at 16:00 hours (4PM). It´s a good summerday temp in Finland, all thou it´s spring yet still. When the green leafs are fully grown then it´s a summer in my mind. I also took my new Ukrainian made sandals for my trip to local grocery. 💙💛
Are way better than those Swedish meatballs sold at Ikea. I never tasted them but I know there´s only one thing better in Sweden than in Finland. They have better eastern neighboring country than we do. 😁
As you´re walking in the main entrance you see this. A lounge. As you´re walking to where ever you have to go there´s plenty peoples everywhere. Nurses, doctors, cleaners, janitors, security staff, patiences and relatives of them. It´s like wasp nest, buzzing everywhere. And some of them will sting you like a bee. Yesterday I had to be get couple of them. Always not a plesure, it hurted like hell. Twice. 😟😬 I have many hours of tattoos in me so one would think I have no needle fear. Bullshit.
