I live next to this forrest. As I walk 20m. from the frontdoor of my aprtment building and I´m in Nature. Looking back like so. Sign says; Private Property, No Tresspassing. Behind me is a forrest with atleast 10km of well maintained walk- bike- and ski-paths.
Few photos of it. This sign says; you´re skiing in the wrong direction. Skipath is un-ski-able this time of year. I enjoyed the Sun and bird concert. It´s researched that outdooring in Nature lowers one´s blood pressure. It´s good for for depression too. Among other things. One of the reasons why Finland is world´s happiest country sixth year in a row.
There are all sort of information along the paths.
And it´s lit from early morning to late in the evening in dark hours (i.e. Autumn and Winter).
Here you can see separated ski- and walk-path. It´s made like this because every winter you can read in the news about ski-rage. Yes, it´s a phenomenon in Finland. Skiers have lost it and attacked other peoples. One time some middle aged man hitted childrens with his ski poles. Unbelievable behaviour.
This one´s for My Corner of the World this week. Enjoy your spring! 😎
Onneksi etelä-Suomestakin löytyy vielä luontoa, jossa kulkea, eikä joka paikkaan ole rakennettu tornitaloja.
ReplyDeleteNiinpä. Luonto suomalaisille tärkeä. Onneksi mulla on tollanen herkku ihan vieressä. Vaikea keksiä tekosyytä miksi ei lähtisi. Paitsi talvella.
DeleteI've never heard of ski rage!
ReplyDeleteHow nice to live next to a forest.
Happy Wednesday, Pisi Prkl
To have that in the middle of town is a great bonus to many people.
DeleteI wish you the same Veronica!
I absolutely believe in the outdoors being good for mental health (as long as we can stay away from ski rage :D Gosh! that sounds scary! 😳)
ReplyDeleteTell me about it. Some people..
DeleteI also live almost in the forest, and I love it
ReplyDeleteThere´s lot to love in Nature.
